Heritage Western Cape Ref No.: 19091001SB0911E

Tresso Trading 139 (Pty) Ltd (hereafter referred to as “the Applicant”) proposes the rectification of the already constructed De Molen Lower Dam which is complete with the exception of the final borrowing of clay material from within a small area of the dam basin, which is to be used for the lining of the adjacent De Molen Upper Dam. A pump station has been installed on the downstream side of the embankment of the De Molen Lower Dam. The Applicant proposes the clay-lining of the adjacent existing De Molen Upper Dam; to replace an existing asbestos pipeline currently running through orchards with a PVC pipeline relocated to run along the road; and the completion of four culvert bridge crossings over the Vier-en-Twintig River.

Holland & Associates Environmental Consultants has been appointed by Tresso Trading 139 (Pty) Ltd to undertake the requisite Environmental Impact Assessment process for the project (in this case a Section 24G process) in accordance with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA) (No. 107 of 1998), as amended, EIA Regulations (2014).
